All ComPDF products are now available on Make.com. This guide will show you how to connect the product, ComPDFKit PDF Converter, with other apps like Google Drive, HTTP, Email, and more to create automated document processing workflows.
As an example, we'll walk through the process of converting PDF files such as financial reports, transaction data, survey reports, and medical records stored in Google Drive into CSV files, making the data ready for further collection and analysis. The whole process looks like this:
Follow the steps below to start creating your document processing workflow. Regardless of the scenario, the steps are similar. The only differences are the apps you are trying to connect and the number of apps you connect.
Step 1: Requirements before Using ComPDFKit PDF Converter on iPaaS Make
Before using the ComPDFKit PDF Converter on Make.com, you need the following account and license. Click to see the detailed guides.

Log in or Sign up for a Make account.

ComPDFKit PDF Converter Free License. Once you register a ComPDF account, a free project and license will be generated automatically. You can click on Create New Project to get more free licenses.

Step 2: Start a Make Scenario and Create a Task
Click on Create a new scenario to start your workflow building.
Search and click on ComPDFKit PDF Converter.
Scroll and choose Convert a PDF to CSV - Create a Task.
Then, click on Create a Connection. The following pop-up windows will appear. To get your license, follow the Step 3 in this article. Then, paste the license in the following pop-up windows.
Step 3: Apply the License of ComPDFKit PDF Converter on Make
Click to copy the Public Key and Secret Key on the API Keys section of your ComPDF account dashboard. Then, paste them in the previous Create a Connection dialog. Creating new projects can generate more licenses.
Step 4: Download Google Documents

Right-click on the logo of the Convert a PDF to CSV - Create a Task of ComPDFKit PDF Converter and choose Add a module. A new module will be added on the left of the Convert a PDF to CSV - Create a Task.

Search and click on Google Drive.

Choose Download a File. Follow the instructions on Make.com to connect with your Google account. Then, choose a PDF file from the Google document.
Please note that try to connect a company Google Drive account because it’s not stable if you connect a personal Google Drive account.
Step 5: Upload Files to Convert PDFs to CSV on Make
Click the icon + beside the Convert a PDF to CSV - Create a Task to add the next module to upload the files we have downloaded from Google.
Set the Upload a File module of the ComPDFKit PDF Converter like the picture below.
Step 6: Start a Task to Convert PDF Files without Code

Click “+” again and choose ComPDFKit PDF Converter -> Start a Task.

Click + to add a Flow Control Repeater to repeat the process that will be added in the next step - Get the File Information. Then, set it as shown below:
Step 7: Get the Result File Information
Click + to add Get the File Information of ComPDFKit PDF Converter and set it.

Add a Router to check if the converted Word file link is generated.

Add two routes - Sleep of Tools and Get a File of HTTP:

Set Tools and HTTP: If the conversion result file is not generated, it will wait a few seconds and repeat retrieving the file information.

Click the following icon to set the filter of Tools -> Sleep as shown in the picture below.

Click the following icon to set the filter of HTTP -> Get a file like the picture shown below.
Step 8: Save the Result File to Google
Choose a drive to store the resulting files: For example, select Google Drive -> Upload a File to store the converted file.
Step 9: End the PDF Converting Workflow on Make
Add another module and choose JSON -> Parse JSON. Click on Create a data structure and set it as below.
Right-click on JSON and choose Add error handler. Then, choose Commit to end the workflow.
